NOTE
There
are two principal seasons in Assam: The Rains, lasting from June 15
until October 15, and The Cold
Weather, lasting from November 1 until Maroh 15.
The period between March 15
and June 15 is known as the Chota Barsat or Small
Rains.
At
the usual rate of exchange a rupee =1shilling and sixpence,
and an Anna = 1 old penny.
