"A story of yesteryear",

ASSAM PLANTER
by A.R.Ramsden

is being serialised  on this  www.koi-hai.com  site.

Kind permission to do this has been given by Julie and Clive Christie, the nephew and niece of their uncle A.R.Ramsden who authored the book.

A.R.Ramsden's father was George Ramsden, who was Superintendent of the Jokai(Assam) tea Company and he had two children, A.R. and Rosemary.  Rosemary married Frank St John Christie (Jamirah Tea Estate) and they had two children, Julie and Clive. Julie has very strong roots to her birthplace, Chabua Hospital, and has visited on at least two occasions. Both Julie and Clive have a great affection for Assam and their early days there
