a few weeks ago I posted some excellent photos supplied by Annie Flello (nee Woollett)  converted from old photographic slides from the Woollett family archives. The main photographer was Pat Martin, Manager of Bhamonpookrie in the 1950’s The picture quality is excellent considering that they are 50 years old. Researching Old Relatives in India
For those who are researching the past and need information on relatives who lived and worked in India there is a very helpful service available. This is the India Office at the British Library located at 96 Euston Road, St Pancras, London NW1 2DB. In particular they have copies of the annual Thacker’s Directories. These directories contain a wealth of information.

The memories are of the early days in North East India, but specifically those with Sylhet memories make interesting reading. It has 20 chapters and the plan is to serialise the Book.
