MONSOON RAINS... Offbeat journeys this summer
Indian Monsoons in Assam.
Misty hills, mighty rivers, mesmerizing clouds!
Monsoons in the tea gardens of Assam
(8 Nights/9 Days)
Monsoons in Assam's tea plantations
The monsoon in the state of Assam is the time of the year when the numerous forests, pastures, agricultural lands and tea plantations come alive with different shades of refreshing greenery. The river swells to become an ocean and the skies usually darken by the presence of gigantic and mesmerizing cloud formations. It is also the time of the year when fresh tea leaves sprout in the more than eight hundred tea estates of the state, filling the atmosphere with the sweet and therapeutic aroma of tea.  In this tour you will follow the route of the Brahmaputra River as it flows from east to west, visiting some of the best known tea plantations of Assam, the highlight of which will be your stay in gorgeous looking boutique heritage bungalows which have rich colonial history.
Monsoons in the abode of clouds
(7 Nights/8 Days)
Monsoons in Meghalaya
In this tour, you will visit the planet's rainiest places during the rainiest season of the year. An exceptional experience of witnessing an extreme natural phenomenon, the tour will take you to the exotic hills of the state of Meghalaya, which in Sanskrit means 'the abode of clouds'. Covering places such as the charming hill station of Shillong, Asia's cleanest village Mawlynnong and the planet's wettest place Cherrapunji, you will get a chance to interact with the local culture, stay in boutique accommodations and experience the beloved Indian monsoon season in a truly marvelous landscape that consists of numerous waterfalls, caves, lakes, forests, pastures and rolling hills. Watching the sky is another highlight of this tour as the monsoons will bring gigantic clouds from the Indian Ocean, which eventually burst out to a symphonic rhythm of rain, thunder and lightning.

A long year has almost come to an end. The world saw both
good and bad days. For those in hard times, we wish for things
to get better.

Here comes Santa

For us at Greener Pastures, we had a busy year. We explored new
places, attended zestful festivals and assisted travelers from
around the world. It was a pleasure to see local communities benefit
from the incoming tourism. In the wildlife front, the seven states
saw many movements from individuals and NGOs, all pro-conservation.

Seasons greetings from the team at Greener Pastures. With the arrival
of a new year, we send out a call for a more conscious approach to
society, environment and the planet. And a deep thank you for having
associated with us.
